BOURBON BARREL AGED IMPERIAL STOUT W/ COCONUT & VANILLA
Bounty Hunter is our Imperial Stout that we condition on loads of toasted coconut and vanilla bean -- featuring notes of bitter chocolate, rich dark malts, and a subtle underbelly of tropical notes.
In this special 11th anniversary edition of BH we dosed the beer with extra coconut (double!), and aged it for 14 months in bourbon barrels.

A deep dark stout with a very thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light coconuts, vanilla, bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle from Lupulus.

Bottle from the brewery. Jet black, small dark brown head. Aroma of boozy chocolate cake, coconut milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, bourbon barrel, and sticky sweet charred malts. Mouth feel is oily, and thick. Sticky and bordering on syrup. Carb is soft, and smooth, bitterness is high. Finish is semi sweet. Robust, vanilla, roast, molasses, burnt coffee, with a bourbon barrel, coconut creme pie finish. Jesus.... This was epic

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter mokkabønner, kaffe, bourbon og tobakk. Fyldig. Søt. Fløyel. Smaker bourbon, vanilje, kaffe, mørk sjokolade, fat og melasse. Middels lang.

Pours inky. No head. On the nose, there's a very nice bourbon-forward aroma with a bit of vanilla. A touch of coconut as well. Very rich flavour, big chocolate, sticky, dark sugars everywhere. Dense, flourless brownie with a coconut, bourbon, vanilla glaze. Excellent.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Aroma brings out lots of bourbon barrels upfront, followed by reams of coconut, a little vanilla, and some dark sugars. Flavour is very rich, with intense coconut, gentle bourbon, some vanilla, and dark sugars. Very thick on the palate, with shitloads of coconut and bourbon on the finish. Very nice slow sipper.

500ml (thx, Peter K.!) @ Matt's new place. Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: lots of barrel with some vanilla and meaty notes. Taste: good body, quite sweet, roasted coconut, some vanilla. Overall: good one.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Black with small beige head. Thick fudgey chocolate, vanilla, mild coconut, touch of bourbon barrel. Prefer taste a touch over aroma. Pretty good.
