Ystad Tasting (25/11/2023) - sweet chocolate malty with some prominent raspberry coming through, some vanilla and whisky kissed wooden ascents evident, full bodied, raspberry accented dark malty into the close. Lovely.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest, 8/12/23. Black, large brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, cherry, chocolate, caramel. Taste is roast, cherry, chocolate, caramel. Guess the cherry notes were actually raspberry. Slick.

Draft. Solid black, leaving a hint of ruby highlights. Thin ring of foam at the rim. Bourbon and raspberry in the nose. Taste quite yummy, like on of those tiny, boozy chocolate bottles, but made with raspberry chocolate. Raspberry remains on the palate as cocoa and vanilla wander in, too. Thoroughly mellow, no harshness from oak, roast malts, or hops. If this means it's a pastry beer in disguise, then so be it.

16 oz can shared by my Brother in Law. The pour is a dark black brown with a minimal khaki head. The aroma is raspberry fruit, milk chocolate and soft roast malt. The taste is big raspberry fresh fruit, then the chocolate and round malty stout character. No alcohol present. The palate is heavier bodied with low carbonation and the stout raspberry finish. Nice take on Darkness.
