Tap@Kernel Arch 7, London (11/12/2021) - black with a tan head. Dry roasted and sweet malty with lots of cocoa, ashy roast, charred brown sugar, lovely hoppy hits punching through, typical Kernel just so well judged and balanced. Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours black-brown with a thick, lasting beige cream head. Light-medium sweet flavour with rich, rounded dark malt character, sturdy roast, ash, dark chocolate, slight espresso, earth, dark fruit accents. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Perfectly balanced finish, just sweet enough, some burnt pine and grass, a hint of grapefruit rind, more bittersweet chocolate, ashy roast. Superb.
