In 1977, a pastry chef from Brittany, Henri le Roux, came up with the idea of making caramel with the addition of local sea salt. And it was just an insight.
Judge for yourself, could we resist and not combine two wonderful flavors? Velvet imperial stout, chocolate notes, a little coffee and biscuit plus delicious salted caramel?

330ml can. Pours black with a small beige/tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, molasses, caramel. Taste of molasses, a bit of dark fruit, caramel, chocolate, a touch of coffee bitterness, minimal salt maybe just enough to warrant the salted caramel descriptor. Medium bodied.
The adjunct usage is pretty low here but I don't see that as a bad thing, think of it like a trad stout with a small amount of salted caramel flavouring.

330ml slim can sold to me by djoeye. Coal black body, tiny fawn-coloured head, dotted spots on the glassware. Quite promising aromas of roasted black chocolate malts. Dark malt-driven taste, impacts of chocolate, earth, and prunes. Smoothly roasted malty finish, long-lived. Well bodied. Likeable. (Tromsø, 26.08.2025).

On tap at MBCC 2025 (Red session), pours a deep dark dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma has soft cocoa, earthy notes, and bready malt. Flavour has soft cocoa, light bready malt, and some murkiness. Dry, muffled cocoa on the finish. Not great.
