A dark ruby beer named after Two Storm Wood, planted in the aftermath of the violent storms of 1987 and 1990 that flattened over a thousand trees. Brewed with rye for bite, Two Storm Ruby is rich, punchy and complex. Hops: Columbus/Pacific Gem.

Bottleshare on the England Football team night of shame! Thanks to Leighton. Hazy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is airy, pretty dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, some sweetness. Dry floral bitterness. Something brett like. Dry finish. Dry and bitter. Bleh.

Bottle at Bespin, thanks to LKS, 27/06/16. Hazed amber orange with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is wooded, herbal notes, spruce, earthy hop, bitter orange. Taste comprises a big mineral rift, spice, toffee, biscuit, bitter fruit shreds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a harsh bitter edge. Ok but lacks balance - a little harsh in places.

Bottle at LKS. It pours clear brown with a thick off-white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earthy, wood, varnish, dried fruits, fruit cake, wood, light farmyard and toasted brown bread. The taste is bitter, wood, pine, varnish, leather, spice, mild astringency, gravel and soil with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carboantion. A bit chewy and woody after a while.

Bottle shared in London - sourced from Real Ale. Pours clear deep gold, lightly effervescent, with a frothy, off-white head. Strong orange peel in the nose, wood, lightly toasted grains, faint ginger. Light sweet flavour with sturdy bitterness, grass, light pine, rindy orange, grain. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Bitter finish, more grass, earth, minerals, grainy bread. So so.
