Bottle split at CBC Islingdon during my 40th birthday tickfest, thanks to Bruce for another decent saison from team Poppyland, 11/10/14. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is hop forward, spice, citric zing, bitter orange, apricot. Taste comprises bitter orange, light apple core, spice, herbal rinse, apricot, tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Another solid saison from Popplyland - nice hop presence in the close.

Bottle shared in London. Pours hazy, rich gold with a frothy white head. Lots of wood on the nose, slight funk, rose petals. Medium sweet flavor with leathery fruit, grass, basement funk, leaves, old wood. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. More dank funk on the finish, more aged wood, some orange rind, grassy bitterness. Nice depth here.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours hazy orange with a small white head. The nose is sweet, candy, apple, orange, stewed fruits, juicy, marmalade and earth. The taste is bitter-sweet, orange, apple, pear, juicy, earth, straw, rind, wood and astringency with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice all in all.

375ml bottle from the brewery. Lightly hazy amber. Thin, white, lasting head. Aroma is yeast, ripe blackcurrant, strawberry, some light toffee, all underpinned by ripe, almost rotten, apple. Hint of herb, maybe bay? Taste is toffee apple sweet at first, followed straight away by a bosh of sour apple. Medium palate, some oiliness. Long, tart, bitter finish. Really enjoyed this.
