Draft at Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2013 - London. Pours clear brown with a mild, tan head. Restrained aroma, some faint dark fruits, light roast. Light to medium sweet flavor with dried fruits, mellow cocoa, dirt, dry torched wood. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, light chocolate, hints of wood. I wonder if this is the oak cask? Anyway, tasty stuff.

Pigs Ear. Wooden Cask. Clear deep red beer, no real head. Smooth and semi dry palate with modest carbonation. Mellow dark malt. Mild bubblegum ester. Whisper of smoke. Touch of dried fruits. Light dry finish. Not bad.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2013. Black beer virtually no head. Tasty enough dark beer. Bit of roast pretty drinkable. Ok

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear, 03/12/13. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that dissipates to edgeing. Nose is chocolate, dark malt, liqourice, molasses, Bourbon bicsuit. Taste comprises chocolate, liqourice stick, dark toffee fudge, light spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry light roast notes in the closure. Ok stout.
