cask gravity in The Rack of Ale Dover. Clear dark brown colour. Thin tan bubbly head. Funnily enough I liked this. Chocolate and port aroma. Decent condition. Some hop. Good.

Bottle from the Wine Rack, Burpham shared at Jack and Leightons birthday pleasantries, 13/04/13. Dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head. Nose is dark malt, toffee, dark fruits. Taste is light roast malt, cardboard, papery, dark fruit, dates. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry in the finish. Pretty mediocre.

Bottle shared by Colin at Leighton & Jack’s birthday fun-time. It pours dark red-brown with a small-medium beige head. The nose is light roasted malt, toast, cocoa and earth. The taste is about the same...mellow roast, toast, cocoa, earth...not much else. Finishes up dry. Light-medium body and average carbonation. Very so-so.

50cl bottle from Waitrose, Wokingham. Mahogany with a ring of cream head and a reddish glow; rich mocha aroma; thin with a dry toasty malt taste that develops some coffee before a sweeter treacly finish. Rather good.
