Craft Islington. Cask. Opaque black beer, residual tan head. Palate is smooth and low carbonation. Super light dark malt. Trace of apple! Chilli starts in the mid and keeps going, getting pretty hot - but as Leighton said - it’s the back of the throat. Finishes semi dry. Was entertaining but a quarter of a pint was more than enough because of the chilli heat, so lacking much drinkability.

Cask at Craft Beer Islington, 06/03/13. Light black with a thin tan head. Nose is roast malt, light coffee, milk chocolate. Taste comprises a big chilli kick of which there was little warning on the nose, milky chocolate latte, woody notes, herbal tones. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, spicey bite in a dryish finish. Ok for a chilli beer but a little over the top - a half was a chore in the final third!

Cask at CBC Islington, London - thanks to Jack. Pours deep brown with a fine, beige foam head. Noce roasty malt nose with notes of milk chocolate. Light to medium sweet flavor with a sharp, quick chili bite, along with mild cocoa. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lots of chili heat to finish, some dry cocoa, mellow earthy bitterness. Thankfully the pepper burn is quick. Decent anyway.

Cask at Craft Islington. Black beer with ring of tan bubbles. Choc aroma. Just the right side of chilli heat. Body of beer could do with a bit more fullness but chilli is just right for me.
