From our Wonky Treats series, we present... Shrimps & Bananas; Inspired by the foamy sweet shop classics that everyone knows and loves. Like a striped paper bag, filled to bursting, we've stuffed so much fruity flavour in to this deliciously soft sour beer. (Does not contain Shrimp!)

Kwg at Craft Beer Junction. Hazy dsrk orange. Thin foamy white head. Aroma is sour with a sweet streak which os definitely reminiscent of the sweets. Flavourwise it's more bluntly sout with far less sweetness. Thick. Creamy. Flat. Long somewhat astringent finish. Starts off promisinly before getting dull.

Interesting stuff, salty and moderately tart, soft banana and yoghurt, low acidity. Enjoyable.

Keg at CBJ. Hazy peachy orange beer, good pale peach apricot colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thinnish pale malts, a thin creamy sweetness. Tons of foam bananas, a general bright fruitiness on the back end. Light semi dry crisp finish leaves a long foam banana linger. Good fun, wouldn't want a pint.

Keg at Craft Beer Junction, Enid Street, 19/12/2025.
Murky orange to light amber topped with an off white cap that thins to the edge.
Nose is light fruit tang, banana, toffee, herb.
Taste comprises soured banoffee pie, tangy fruit, lactic pinch, damp straw.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering edge.
Fun enough sour.

Kurzrezension vom Vienna Kraft Bier Fest:

440ml can as part of a delivery from Yonder and drunk at home. Orangeish pink, a little hazy, with a slightly pinkish white head. Store-bought pick ‘n’ mix, raspberry, maybe a little vegetal note in the aroma. Strange but not all that unpleasant. Quite sour in the front of the sip, then some raspberry and artificial banana. Sweeter in the finish. Medium body, carbonation slightly heavy. Hmmmm. I think they did what they set out to do. A bit weird, and won’t be to everybody’s tastes, but pleasant enough.
