Bottle shared at my birthday tasting thanks to kermis. Black with barely any head. Massive vanilla, sweet chocolate, pistachios, coffee, bourbon, apple brandy indeed, alcohol, toffee. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Full sugary body. Lovely!

Bottle at LC member party, 1/18/25. Dark, clear, sone tan head. Vanilla and fudge nose with mild spiciness from the apple brandy. But I don't really get any actual brandy character. No booze. This tastes like a Tootsie roll. That's pretty common for these maltier, fudgier beers, but this is like uncannily close to the point it's too much so. Malty, fairly attenuated. Just so much fudgey chocolate. Would not guess apple brandy, and the vanilla is tasteful. No booze.

Rated at Ryyppyliiteri. Smooth and intense with vanilla notes, some brandy barrel, stingy woody oakiness, hints of apples, rye, chocolate and cocoa. A bit unbalanced but pretty good still. --- Beer merged from original tick of Brewer's Reserve Society (2024) on 11 Jan 2025 at 16:18 - Score: 8. Sweet, syrupy, boozy. Apple brandy, chocolate, vanilla, can't really find the play-doh. Smooth, rich, very nice.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a dark brown with small tan head. The aroma is strong apple brandy, toffee, wood, chocolate. Thick body, similar flavors, marshmallow, boozy, enjoyed this.

On tap at Toppling Goliath for the KBBS 2024 release, pours jet black, almost no head. Aroma has plenty of apple brandy, a touch of coffee, and some dark sugars. Flavour is very rich, with lots of coffee and maple syrup, apple brandy, and dark sugars. Rich, syrupy, and the apple brandy makes this very different than any other variants. Very nice.
