500ml bottle @ Cardinal. Unclear amber body with a big, creamy off-white head. Strange and unusually in aroma, difficult to describe, it may be something like seaweed but it’s so easy to be affected by the label and the story. It’s strange like some kind of unusually spices I have never experienced before. The flavor is sweet and strange as well, there is some malt, but the other stuff dominates and it feels more like something from the sea, but definitively not fish. A bit fruity as well with hint of boiled vegetables and some bitterness towards the end. Medium body and quite distinct aftertaste with the same seaweed experience. More interesting than really good, but actually more drinkable than a bad pilsner.

Mer interssant enn god.

Rerate on from bottle on board Fridtjofen 17.05.20. Translucent orange amber. Fairly persistent beige hea and lacing. Aroma and taste of sweet pale malt, crystal malt, marmalade, citrus and some biscuit. Quite good. Round mouthfeel with appropriate caarbonation. 01.09.14 Cloudy pale orange. Aroma and taste of fermented tropical fruits. Unfresh. Unfresh sweetness in taste and aftertaste of budget cost ’tropical juice’, although lacking any of its freshness. Flat. [3/2/3/2/5=1,5]

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy amber with thin head. Weird aroma. Thin bodied, somewhat bitter, dry, ’real’ liquorice, hay. Quite special altogether.

500 ml bottle, batch 0815L82, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Brewed with large amounts of the Norwegian edible sea algae "søl". Cloudy golden brown colour, moderate white head. Very strong and "thick" aroma of seaweed / algae and stale sea water ponds, hints of rubber. The flavour is better than the aroma, fairly refreshing and dry, notes of fresh sea water, algae and citrus. Some hops in the finish.
