750 ml bottle dated 4/16/2014. Hazy straw in color, zero head. The aroma is malt and yeast with just a light note of citrus.
The flavor is funky yeast, light cereal grain with some light malt sweetness in the center. Very soft lemon tartness in the finish. I don’t get any spice and the sourness is not sour, just lightly tart. Body is medium with a slick/ oily texture over the palate. Pretty easy to drink after the age.

Pours a hazy orange color with a medium bone white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of mildly funky fruit, spices and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart citrus, funky yeast and biscuit malt, as well as some mild spice in the background. The finish is funky citrus and herbal yeast. Pretty good all around.

2014 750mL bottle drunk 2/9/15
Clear burnished-gold body is topped by a small, neatly retained off-white head.
Strong notes of acetic acid and light red fruits dot the nose, while there is a bit of musty/horsey character as well. What it dosent have is any brett tartness or real prominent funk. Strength is medium with no alcohol noted.
A shot of acetic acid up front starts things off promisingly, but it quickly is washed away by an exceedingly thin texture resulting in a finish that is somewhat bland and decidedly off-putting. My friend said "wet dog" and it’s not far from that. Certainly not pleasant, though it’s not overly offensive either. Don’t think they got the intended result here, not really sure what this strange flavor is, it’s not actually the horseblanket you associate with brett and there is no bright sourness that you’d associate with lacto/pedio. Weird. Poured the rest of ’er down the drain.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 4/9/2014. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, lime, orange zest, green apple, white grape, pepper, coriander, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, wheat, cracker, white vinegar, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice complexity and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, spice, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of bit lemon, lime, orange zest, green apple, white grape, pepper, coriander, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, wheat, cracker, white vinegar, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness and light-moderate tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange zest, green apple, white grape, hay, straw, grass, coriander, pepper, wheat, cracker, white vinegar, musty funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, spice, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/spice/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly prickly/acidic mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent sour saison style. All around great complexity and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, spice, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink with the balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

From the 11/2014 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a murky orange-amber color with an enormous fluffy orange-white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart and sour with sour patch candies and hints of pepper and chalk. The flavor was very sour, tart and fruity with citric acid, sour patch candies and yeast. Long tart and sour citric acid finish. Medium body. Interesting.
