5/11/2022. Draught at The Hero of Waterloo, The Rocks, Sydney. Pours pale golden amber with a small frothy white head. Drinkable sat outside in glorious sunshine, though it's pretty uninspiring stuff really.

Voici une Golden Ale qui propose le minimum requis et globalement agréable. Bière sans prétention toutefois qui présente une belle robe blond doré foncé, quasi ambré, limpide, mais avec une mousse peu évidente. Au nez, c'est un trio miel, abricot et céréales qui se distingue. Heureusement que le miel est tout de même là pour réhausser l'ensemble. En bouche, l'impression est la même. Après une attaque sur la fraîcheur, avec un houblon sympathique, la deuxième bouche est plus riche et corpulente, reprenant le cocktail du nez. Même l'alcool, à 4,5 % commence à nous plaire. Mais cela est de courte période avec une arrière bouche est un final plus insipide, sans trop de consistance, sur des arômes peu intenses de malts. The Chancer n'est pas des plus chanceux !

On tap at Sydney airport. Pours clear golden amber with a white head. Aroma: caramel malts, honey, mild citrus. Taste: light sweet, light bitter, grainy, caramel, light floral hop. Medium bodied, average carb. Mild bitter finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Stas’ place. Thanks kerenmk. Deep golden. Cardboard, oxidation, honey, sweetish, faint bitterish note. Old. Not good.

Tap at the Crafty Squire, Russell St Melbourne. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head and some broken lace. The aroma is caramel malt, light hop bitter. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a grainy malt light fruit, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

On tap at Charming Squire, Brisbane on 7th September 2015. Gold with off-white, lasting foam top and lacing. Fine citrus aroma. Grapefruit in-mouth with soapy touch. Citric, floral and slightly soapy finish. Zingy mouthfeel and light body. Pleasant.
