Glitter shines brighter in the dark. Giddy up for this french toast flavor frenzy, complete with alluring chocolate and spiced cinnamon. A beautifully dark take on the original “Unicorn Farts”collaboration between DuClaw Brewing Co. & DiabloDoughnuts, now brewed as a dessert stout with chocolatey, cinnamon cereal and gold edible glitter.

Dark brown pour with a small tan head. Smells of roast malt, chocolate, coffee, and cinnamon. The flavor is pretty sweet with chocolate, roast malt, cinnamon, and coffee. Medium bodied. it’s good though not as intense or full bodied as I expected for an 8.5% abv stout. As with the Sour Me Unicorn Farts, I don’t see any glitter. Again, if you’re going to have a silly gimmick, follow through.

Can. Black and it does have gold glitter but it's hard to see. Three finger, tan head. Aroma is coffee and cinnamon. Taste is dark roasted grains, coffee and cinnamon.

Panda, courtesy of SHIG, pours with a deep dark colored body with infrared hues at the edges and supporting a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate to highly roasted malts and then a mild nutty dark roasted coffee sensation leading to faint winter spices into the end of the draw. The taste delivers chocolate and cinnamon blending into dark roasted coffee and kind of burnt like black patent malts. Nice. It picks up a bit of sweetness to midway to help give the experience more depth and balance. Into the finish the sweetness persists and lingers into the after taste where echoes of highly roasted malts hang on for a while. Fun beer.

Black with a large foamy tan head that left good lacing. Roasty and dryish with cinnamon and cocoa. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Probably the best beer I’ve had from Duclaw, with just the right amount of chocolate and lactose to add depth without becoming a cloying mess. Cinnamon sugar pops up on the back end, but the finish is somewhat dry, with bittersweet chocolate and a touch of road in the fade.

16 oz. can from HEB in San Antonio, TX. Pours an opaque black color with a large light brown head and excellent retention. Very good lacing. A little nitro-like action too. Beautiful gold glitter when you shine a bright light on it. Sweet dark chocolate and roasted malts aroma. Sweet dark chocolate flavor dominates, with some bitter dark chocolate notes, followed by a light boozy finish. The cinnamon notes are initially faint, but gets stronger as it warms. Sweet enough to mask some of the 8.5% ABV, but still too strong for more than one. Medium-heavy body. Light carbonation. Dark bitterness. Semi-creamy mouthfeel.
