Brewed with special Nelson Sauvin Hops from New Zealand. This variety provides a wine like fruitiness that pairs beautifully with the esters of the Belgian yeast. The finish is dry with some peppery spice. A great alternative to white wine.

Hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is smooth and light. Fine carbonation. Light malt and hops. Sweet and spicy yeast. Light grapey flavour from the NS hops. Light crispy finish. Tasty if a tad polite.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal, floral, and spicy yeasty aroma, citrusy hop notes, biscuity malt basis. Taste is minimally sweet biscuit malty, minimally tart, citrusy hoppy overtones, cautious fruity hints of mango and apple, a floral and yeasty touch. Relatively mild yeasty Saison, nicely fruity and hoppy.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours mostly clear, bright gold, moderately effervescent with a large, frothy white head that eventually settles into a cream. Lovely aroma with lots of melon, papaya, orange, mellow piss. Light-medium sweet with plenty of juicy tropical fruits, some citrus, a bit of lightly doughy wheat bread, faint bitter hay. Medium bodied with fine to average, massaging carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish with further mango and papaya, melon and tangerine, light orange rind and hay bitterness. Great balance, nice depth. Wonderful stuff.

Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Hazy pale gold lasting white head. So many Nelson Sauvin beers donโ€™t deliver. They tend towards the sweaty trainers rather than the scintillating citrus flavour. This is somewhere between the two. Aroma is good, but the flavour has some of that dried sweat. Perhaps itโ€™s just me. The base saison is pretty consistent and good and makes the beer really drinkable. Decent bitterness on the finish. Iโ€™m picky I know and especially about NS.

Bottle at Cornelius. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Light lacing marks. Aroma of sour yeast, grapes and white wine. I asked my wife and she thought it smelled like Sauvignon Blanc wine and white grapes (I almost burst with pride). Flavour of tangy lime, lemon sherbet and funky Belgian yeast. Thin to medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel. I donโ€™t usually like this hop but itโ€™s well suited to the Saison style. Itโ€™s really tasty, but as with their Motueka & Lime Saison I feel this would be even better with more of a peppery finish.

Bottle at home, thanks to LKS for the pick up, 01/02/14. Hazed orange with a load of bubbles clinging to the glass, carbonation well evident, moderate off white covering. Nose is dank straw, earthy, bitter citrics, lemon rind, grass, dank hopped backnotes. Taste is laden with bitter citrics, earthy straw, lemon rind, bitter orange, dank hops, light spice, faint tropicals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying bitter citric finale. Solid hopped up saison, good work.
