Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a tiny, white head. Lots of alcohol in the nose and not much else. Rich malty body, very sweet. Ends boozy. Hasn’t got enough hops to balance the very sweet malts. 111214

Hazy pale yellow. Aroma of continental pilsners and higher alcohols. Very sweet taste and unfreshingly sweet aftertaste. A hint of liquorice combined with grapefruit. Not a combination to my taste.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.4%. Imperial pilsner. Hop is Saaz. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Strong Saaz aroma, sweetish grassy and floral notes. The flavour is too sweet and alcoholic, the hops in the finish are not enough to save it.

Bottle, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. It pours a hazy golden body and a dense two finger white head. Sweet Belgian-like aroma with some citrus and pale malts. A bit one dimensional, but far from bad. There’s a nice balancing bitterness in the flavor, dealing easily with the malts. Some citrus and a Belgian-style fruityness in the flavor. It’s full-bodied and nicely carbonated, with a decent bitterness towards the end. Quite nice this one, but rather boring. 140823
