Hopfiger, deutlich getreidiger Antrunk. Grasig, bitter, fruchtiger Noten sind in angenehmem Umfang vorhanden, darunter Grapefruit. Rund, vielleicht etwas zu grasig. 10/9/10/9/11/9

20 oz draft pour at Taste of Carolina in the Charlotte, North Carolina airport. The pour is a light haze golden reddish with a 1 inch light white head. Nice lace left behind. The Aroma is resin, pine, and a light faint citrus. There is a fair amount of cracker malt present as well. Nice balanced nose. The taste is the nose, nice blend of resin pine a fruit citrus balanced with the dry cracker malt, all leading to a dry bitter finish. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation, and a dry mineral finish with the bitterness. Nice enough, though didn’t have the vibrancy of a fresh IPA.

Bottle - thanks MWbrady12! Pours hazy amber butterscotch with a ginormous white puffy head. Annoyingly overcarbonated; took 15 minutes to pour. Aroma is citrus, pine resin and a bit of carboard. Flavor is about the same (without the cardboard), resinous pine and grapefruit forward, light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body and oily mouthfeel. Pretty nice other than that foam issue.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a hazy gold with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a musty pine hop note with a decent amount of resin and a backing earthy grain note. Flavor has a good amount of grass and earthy grains with just a touch of pine hops.

Good drink. Grassy, farmhouse-style hops give this a musky bitterness. Pours orange without much head but some lacing. Average carbonation. Finish is bitter with slick texture. Body above average. On tap at Carolina Beer Co in Charlotte airport.

Thanks to a friend at Home Brew Talk for sending me this in exchange for some Westy 12. Enjoyed in a tulip at fridge temp.

A - Bronze with a finger head fading fast and leaving behind a nice lacing. Great clarity.

S - Heavy simcoe aroma. Lots of pine cones, resin and hint of grapefruit juice.

T - Interesting taste. Closer to an English ESB than an IPA. Malty with a lot of caramel and sweet brown sugar. Hopped and not overly bitter.

M - Medium body, Nice carbonation balance.

O - The finish is a little too boring malty but overall a drinkable beer.

From the July 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden-amber color with a large foamy off white head that left good lacing. The aroma was tart lemon and a bit of chalk. The flavor was tart and chalky lemon and Pez candies. Medium length tart finish with notes of chalk and citrus. Medium body.
