Lyric. Cask. Clear amber beer, no head. Palate is smooth with low carbonation. Mildly sweet malts. Touch of tangy dried orange. Light finish. Hides the abv well but otherwise a bit dull.

Bottle, gift from Mum & Dad - cheers. Pours light amber with a large off-white head and a soft fizz. The mouthfeel is nice and soft too- very mellow and relaxing. Unfortunately all the flavours are on the soft side too- there’s a bit of the bitterness of orange peel maybe, but little of the flavour. There’s a vague hint of piney hops in the background if you really search for it. The main flavour though is caramel- and even that is quite muted. All in all it’s ok, but it’s just so understated that you can’t see the point of it- it’s certainly very difficult to believe it’s 6%.
