Jacobsen Spring Brew is the House brewery Jacobsen’s new spring beer. The Jacobsen Spring Brew is a part of a Nordic lager and beer tradition with great emphasis on ingredients from the Nordic countries. Among the ingredients is the Nordic white flower Woodruff from the areas Sunndal, Møre and Romsdal in Norway and the Slovenian hop type Styrian Golding.

Jacobsen Spring Brew has a light cobber red colour with cream-coloured foam. The aroma is distinctly hopped with a touch of grape, pine needles, caramel and jasmine.

Bottle. Pours clear light copper brown with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of caramel malt and yeast, with notes of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with fruity and malty notes. Hints of yeast towards the rather rough finish with touches of metal. Not bad but rather boring and watery.

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bod. The colour is slightly hazy deep reddish brown with a medium, beige head. Sweet malt in the aroma along with leather, wood, dried berries, chocolate and heather. Lot of malt in the flavour as well with more leather, wood and some hops. A little metallic in the end. Has a light and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. This is a sweet, malty and decent ale.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, bread, caramel, and citrus fruits, leading to a softly bitter finish.

On tap @ Fox and hound, Aabenrå. Clear, reddish deep amber body with a rather small off-white head. Light in aroma with a hint of caramel malt, slightly grassy hops and slightly spicy. Flavor is plain and refreshing, some malt, mild fruitiness, a hint of caramel and spicy flowers with mild bitterness. Decent but not exiting in any way.

Bottle shared thanks to onkelgobber. Appearance -amber with a nicely proportioned white head. Nose - toffee and biscuits. Taste - Twix bar. Caramel and biscuits with a chocolate. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy but malty texture and a fairly fresh finish. Overall - a decent doppelbock.
