Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Pleasant on the finish, with further chocolate, spicy ginger, bitter earth, baking cocoa. Good one.

Cask (Sheffield Tap, Sheffield) - Dark brown with red tinges. Ginger, roasted malt and a hint of plain chocolate in the aroma. Ginger, cocoa and a faint hint of liquorice can be detected in the taste. The ginger is noticeable yet fairly subtle.

Cask at Craft Clerkenwell, Saturday 19th April 2014 Pours dark brown with a reddy glint. Not too much on the nose but gingery in mouth. Fairly straightforward stout if a little watery saved by the interesting twist that the ginger adds. Its fine. A6 A4 7 P3 Ov13 3.3

On cask (handpull unlike everyone else so far) at Cross Scythes, Norton Lees - Solid black body, thick lacing tan white head. The nose is solid ginger, both fresh and dried, with a background of toasted oatmeal. The taste isn’t so hot, a warmth at the back of a normal roasted stout flavour from the ginger, but still very nice. Good rich oily mouthfeel makes this a great pint. I’m going back for seconds...

Gravity dispense at Craft 100, Craft Clapham, 03/04/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is light roast, spice, ginger, earthy cocoa. Taste comprises chocolate, herbal pangs, light roast, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout but I expected a little more from Thornbridge.
