Draught @ CBC’14
Aroma is fruity but odd with some plastic off-aroma and caramel. Flavour has fruit candy, some tartness, gooseberry bush and distant plastic notes. Also some apricot and peaches. Does not look, taste or smell like dunkelweisse. More like a tart IPA.

Keg at the Old Coffee House, Soho, 09/10/13. Murky orange amber with a thin off white covering. Nose is raspberry jam, light caramel, sharp hops, light spice. Taste comprises a good sorachi ace punch, citrus, mineral notes, caramel, light pine, berry fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy finish. Drinkable stuff if a little unbalanced, not a dunkle, not sure what to class this as !?!

Draft. An unclear brown beer with a huge lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of wheat and spice sorachi ace hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, wheat, dusty and spicy hops, leading to a very bitter finish. Odd, but interesting.

Keg @ Hanging Bat, Edinburgh [100713]
Murky dark caramel brown, bubbly white head
Aroma of light fruits, soft caramel, slight berry fruits
Taste of soft caramel malts, light fruits, slight vanilla, slightly like neopolitan ice cream bur a big stretch of the imagination
Palate - Medium carb, fairly light body. Finish as main flavour, slightly bitter, bit dry
Overall - OK...bit dull tbh for me

Cock Tavern. Keg. Clear amber - brown beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Soft palate, a little airy. Fine carbonation. Soft airy light malt which supports lovely Sorachi Ace hops - love the lemon cream. Touch of herb and orange citrus. Whisper of sweet candy fruits. Finishes semi dry and soft with bitterish orange peel aftertaste. Very tasty and very very drinkable. Genuinely surprised at the low scores for this one, okay as a concept is doesn’t quite achieve it’s aim (check Saugatuck Neopolitan Stout which nailed the concept). But at the time of tasting I didn’t know what the aim was. All I tasted was a very interesting and drinkable beer. At the end of the day - that really is all that matters!

Keg at Cock Tavern. It pours murky brown with a small off-white head. The nose is mint, aniseed, fresh fennel and ambergis. The taste is earth, brown bread, dirt, fennel, wood, assertive bitterness, rindy citrus, orange, grapefruit and spice with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty bizzare... I can only assume Sorachi Ace is involved! A bit unbalanced shall we say...

Keg at the euston tap. Murky mud brown small grey head. Aroma is woody Apple core and coconut. Flavour bursts with Sorachi ace coconut lemon grass rye bread. Not a traditional dunkle but I like it.

Keg at the Cock Tavern - London. Pours murky brown with a soft, creamy tan head. Some lightly toasted wheat in the nose, bits of ripe grapefruit and orange. Light to medium sweet flavor with sturdy, earthy bitterness, dirt, some citric tang, toast, grapefruit rind. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Finishes with more rindy citrus, light sweetness, further citrusy fruit tang and subtle, toasted wheat. A bit scattered.
