Aged on bourbon barrels.

Klassifikation: Fatlagrad imperial stout

Bottle with thanks to _angst_. Pours clear ruby mahogany - really light for an impy, small tan head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving decent lacing. Aroma is roasty, with bourbon, vanilla and ashtray notes. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter, roasty with a bit of dark fruits and anise. Light body, smooth. This is a good American Strong Ale, not sure I would call it an imperial stout.

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark brown in color and with a small, dense, light beige head on top. There’s quite a lot of vanilla on the nose, with boozy bourbon, dried fruits, cocoa notes and some coffee and dark chocolate. Some bread crusts too. A tad too boozy on the palate, but in a pleasant way, it’s full-bodied and softly carbonated, semi-sweet, with flavors of vanilla, bourbon, dried fruits and cocoa. A nice bitterness too. Lasting boozy, vanilla and chocolatey finish. Pretty lovely this one, although a tad too boozy. Nothing that really annoys though. 140625
