Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Cotteridge Wines. Pours unclear honey-gold with a tight, creamy white topping. Medium sweet with pleasant semi-ripe citrus fruits, mild piney bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, pale bread, peach, ripe tangerine, light pine. Moreish and delicious.

500ml bottle from Hop Burns & Black. Bottled 23.09.17. Pours yellowish orange with a small bubbly head. Aroma of soapy grassy hops, citrus, orange peel, pine and hay. Taste is smooth, grassy and slightly earthy with some grainy notes, hay, citrus, orange peel and soapy notes. Finish is soapy hoppy, grassy and citrusy with some hay, pine and earthiness. A bit strange hop profile.

Hazy orange-gold beer, good cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mild minerals. Smooth malts, modest creamy sweetness. Wakatu hops bring a modest Sorachi Ace character but with the lemon replaced by lime. Mellow floral lime and a trace of tangerine. Very mild hop spice. Light finish. Nice, would love to see this IPAed.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Murky golden/bronze body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of melon, brown bread and pear. Flavour of pineapple then a weird finish - parma violets and pumpkin maybe? Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Not one of The Kernel’s finest.

Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Hazy cloudy gold with a lasting white head. Light tropical hop. Light pepper. Good pale malt, good mouthfeel. Yep decent dirty peppery hoppy pale ale. Odd, but good.
