750ml bottle. Jet black oily pour, no head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of leather and oak, cautious hints of vanilla and treacle. Taste is dry, oaky, tannic, roasty dark malty, some leather. All in all a miserable BA series. Certainly they have rediscovered Diogenes’ buggy and fart packed barrel and comparable tuns that have given residence to some deadly drunken hobo, exudating the hooch he consumed, thereby impregnating the staves, to bury their already abortive brewage therein. I hope for the appearance of a cathartic effect after suffering this tragedy.

Bottle thanks to Leighton during RBESG Sunday Tasting. It pours darkest brown/near black with a tiny bubbly head. The nose is big wood, vanilla, fudge, cocoa, earth and dirt. The taste is big tanginess, acidity, dark fruits, wood, medicinal and cheap red wine with a warming finish. Medium+body, low carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Nose is OK, but the taste is pretty awful...

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Nice bottle - a stubby 750, the most pleasing aspect of this series of beers!!! Light Cola black with a fast dissipating tan head that clears to nyadda - looks flat and lifeless. Nose is light roast, dark chocolate, woody tinges, smokey, dark toffee, faint bourbon BA effect. Taste comprises dark fruits, creosote, lactic ring, light roastings. Medium bodied, limited carbonation, drying close. Very poor for style, unbalanced,a right dogs dinner, joint worst of the series for me!
