A collaboration with Vaux Brewery in Sunderland, between friends old and new. This supercharged pale with Nelson, Idaho 7 and Citra packs the might of an IPA! A chewy yet smooth body of malt is balanced by the juicy smack of passionfruit, mango and grapefruit. Tip top.

Cask at the cock tavern. Aroma is nice berry and floral hedgerow hop with some cereal grains. Clear golden straw coloured pour. Flavour is grainy malts, medicinal hop, grainy dry finish. Assertive clean bitterness. Palate is light and a bit watery. Lingering bitterness.

Cask at The Cock Tavern. London Bimble. It pours clear golden with a small white hea.d The nose is fresh, doughy, floral, toast, dirt and earth. The taste is toast, grainy, floral, earth, elderflower and citrus peel with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Easy going, but far from Howling Hops best brew.

Cask @ Cock, Hackney on the London Hickster Bimble. Uninspiring golden yellow. Light aroma with bitter hop aroma and a slight but pleasant astringency. Taste is an initial light citrussy sweetness which then turns to a bitter finish. Watery mouthfeel.

Bree Louise. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, small bubbly white head. Palate is smooth and dry, fine carbonation. Bitter spicy hop start, lesser lemon and marmalade. Mild bubblegum ester. Light finish with more hop spice. Tasty.

Cask at the cock, thanks to Mario for an expedient cellar run on this one, 14/04/14. Almost clear golden with a moderate light beige covering that retains well. Nose is pale and toasted malt, bready tones, biscuit, light citrus. Taste comprises light floral notes, melon, soft bread, barley sugar, grassy twang. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, subtle bitterness in the close. Solid bitter.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney Central, London. Pours perfectly clear, pale yellow with a flimsy, white head. Mild biscuity pale malts in the nose with licks of straw and lemon rind. Light sweet flavor with more biscuits, low bitter hay, cereal grains, ripe lemons. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Good balance on the finish with more similar characteristics, some lightly bitter hay, lemony hops, dry biscuits and straw. Solid session ale.
