This American pale ale is brewed with an ambush of dry hops, giving it a crisp, refreshing grapefruit and citrus hop flavors without being overly bitter.

2 month old can A: Mostly clear medium orange gold body with a short thick head and lasting lacing. S: Orange and tangerine citrus. Pith and zest. Light caramel beneath. T: Bitter and citrusy. Intense orange and tangerine from the nose, but with floral notes and biscuity malt providing balance. M: Active but soft carbonation, light body and clean, somewhat dry mouthfeel. O: If you like orange citrus hops. you'll love this. Well balanced but still an orange bomb.

Not that great. A little grapefruit but not a whole lot here. Pours amber with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Some rust. Almost more of an amber ale vibe. Draft at the source. Clear gold, white head. Caramel notes, lemon, citrus. Too lemony for me.

Probably from a Whole Foods: pours deep copper with white head that leaves lacing. Aroma is Lightly piny, bready, with a good bit of citrus. Taste is light bitter. Hefty malts. Pretty solid.

Crystal clear golden and peach coloured body with a honey glow and a relatively thick, two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of honey, crisp apple and pear fructose and fruit-based sugar with a dash of biscuity malt and a solid dose of elegant grassy and citrusy hoppiness towards the end that shows well, at least in the nose. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent hoppiness at first with a good hit of the apples, pears, a nice cleanser and almost resinous finish with the good support from the malts and ending with a light bready and more pungent yeast note with some light bitterness still from the hops showing through. Aftertaste shows the subdued bitterness from all the hops with a light grassy finish and more fruit than anything else - aside from the bitterness from the hops. Overall, a nice and elegantly structured beer that shows the good notes of an IPA, but the body and easy-drinking flavour profile of an APA. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Clarendon (Arlington), Virginia on 29-October-2018 for US$2,09 sampled less than two months later on 17-December-2018.
