Most Holy Helles- our first collab coming out of lockdown and we’ve teamed up with the stupendous Arbor Ales. We’ve dry hopped this Helles with a German hop called Ariana, the name of which has a Hebrew, Greek, and Old English origin, and loosely translates as “Most Holy”; hence the whacking great sword on the can.

On keg at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - golden yellow with a very light haze. Nose - cooked vegetables and light citrus. Taste - lemon and honey. Still a little vegetal. Palate - light bodied and refreshing but would prefer more bitterness. Overall - OK.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, soft, lemon curd, custard creams, doughy white bread, sponge cake, touch of grass and herbal accents. The taste is crisp, dry, some bitterness, sturdy malt base of white bread, cracker, biscuit, custard creams, splash of lemonade, grass, verbena and a nip of spice with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, massaging carbonation. Lovely stuff. Flavourful and moreish.
