330 ml bottle Shared by Leighton. Bottled in 2013, held up real well, thanks Leighton! The color is a pale yellow with thin white head. The nose is wood and Brandy like for me. The taste shows a strong barrel aging. Fruity and the flavor is really different. The carbonation is very low but still for the age, not bad at all.

Bottle from Leighton. There’s a little bit of sediment. NO head. a light hazy dark yellow appearance. 10 or 12 ounce bottle? This smells really good. pinot grape, plum, juicy fruit. smells great. really juicy aroma. Dry with a leathery flavor. Barrel note if minimal other than a little ashiness. almost no carb, finishes leathery and a little bit of fruit.

Wenig säuerlicher Antrunk mit zunehmend herben Noten. Trocken, dennoch süffig, geringfügig Kräuter, etwas langweilig. 8/9/11/8/9/8

330ml bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Pours pale, slightly hazy yellow. Light and bright flavours, the nuances of the wine really shining through with a touch of oily funk. Light citrus and fruity hops throughout. Not entirely sure the wine notes blend too well, but it’s refreshing and a grower.

Bottle. A clear, pale golden one with a white head leaving lacings. Rather citrusy aroma, pink grapefruit mostly, with some funky hints and a touch of wine. Peppery notes too. Pink grapefruit, some orange and funky notes and a little vinous hint in the flavor. Peaches too. Dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation. Perhaps lacking a little bit on bitterness, both in the end and initially, but overall it’s a very fine beer I would love to have as a summer drink. 140608
