Bottle at Craig’s. Funky winey nose, taste is very thin, dry toffee, sweet, hints of the barrel. Needs more body.

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Hazy, green hued, straw colour. Thin, lasting, white head. Handsome. Mineral. Lemon pith. Oily herb, along the lines of rosemary. Taste is flinty dry. Light, soft carbonation. The wine barrel is only evident on the finish, but that’s ok with me. Like it.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellowish, pale golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious but rather typical Grisette aroma, a presumtive tart touch of lemon. Taste is dry, minimally tart, a touch of lemon, yeasty notes, Grisette-typical, cautious vinous overtones, a touch of vanilla, very cautious hints of oak. Very nice composition concerning taste, but sadly without aromatic prospect and very cautious overall, too anaemic, light bodied. I would acclaim a stronger version.
