Cask at the Cock Tavern - London. Pours clear, amber-gold with a fine, creamy head. The nose has lots of bready malts, some rich and concentrated fruits, berries. Medium sweet flavor with lots of overripe berries, plums, sugary bread, almost no bitterness, fruitcake. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; the condition is alright. Sticky sweet to finish with more ripe fruits, somewhat doughy and sugary bread, hints of wood, grapes, plums. Fairly one-dimensional but tasty enough besides.

Cock Tavern. Cask. Almost clear amber beer, tiny pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with mild fine carbonation. Very interesting beer made with a rarely used sugar if I understand Mario correctly. An intriguing blend of fruit cake, crystallised fruis and dried fruits with lesser marmalade and floralness. Whisper of light caramel. Tangy semi dry finish. Every mouthful of this held my attention and interest. A slightly unusual and tasty number.
