Bottle thanks to Leighton during RBESG Sunday Tasting. It pours oily deep brown with a tiny bubbly head. The nose is meaty, woody, earth, medicinal whisky, TCP and cocoa. The taste is medicinal, TCP, earth, dirt, mild tangy fruits, very drying, must, wet leaf and dank filth with a dry finish. Medium body, low carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Big woody medicinal character. One of the better ones IMO...

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Nice bottle - a stubby 750, the most pleasing aspect of this series of beers!!! Coca Cola black with moderate tan bubbles that clear to the edge and soon sink without trace. Nose is roast malt, tarte dark berry fruits, baking powder, toffee, earthy cocoa. Taste comprises ashy tones, liqourice, light roast, faint bitter chocolate. Strange body for 6.5%, very thin and watery with limited carbonation, semi drying close with bitter fruit licks. Mediocre for style, unbalanced, sour licks, this was probably my least favourite of the series, didn’t detect any BA effect, just badly put together insipid tosh and/or infected ?

Bottle, 75cl. A really dark brown one, more or less clear looking and with a minimal sized tan head. Some bubbles more than a head actually. Rather thin on the palate, dry and almost flat, with roasted malts and coffee. Not much else going on. Roasted finish. Well, it’s drinkable and all that, but damn boring and undimensional. 140301
