Got Friends In the Music Business B.A.

Can from Pub-up-beershop, Wolvega. Roasty aroma with chocolate, subtle chili, cocoa, notes of coffee. Some vanilla/milk chocolate. Bittersweet flavour with some alcohol in the finish. Body is full. Good.

CD 11 Jan 22. Pours pitch black, with a light brown head that doesn't stay long. Aroma's: bourbon, vanilla, cocos, boozy. Retronasal it's sweet, boozy, bourbon, vanilla, drop. Flavour is sweet, chocolate, light drop. Alcohol just not too sharp, but warming (or maybe that's the peppers?). Medium to full body. Long finish with lots of chocolate, light roast, light moderate bitter.

Can at home, 3rd February 2023. Pours a black beast. Aroma is liquor, barrel, wood, chocolate and caramel, vanilla and peat. Taste is liquor, bitter cocoa, barrel, wood, whisky and peat, vegetal, some heat, slight savoury and all the barrel blends ensure it’s never too sweet. Impressive

Can. Opaque black brown beer, good tan head. Smooth airy palate, a very mild dryness, decent fine carbonation. Soft rich dark malts, not overly dark. Dark chocolate Malteasers and dark malt cream. Lovely blend of ripe rummy fruits and bourbon fruits with a generous helping of barrel induced vanilla. Finishes soft and airy with chocolate ganache and more barrel aged goodness. The 14% abv just sails on by with nary a royal limp wristed wave. A mild but pleasing savoury vibe. Soft but viscous finish. A rich and rewarding delight.

330 ml can. Pours a dark brown with moderate fizzy tan head that dissipates quickly. Initial boozy aromas make way for chocolate, vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with a bit of coconut and roasted peppers. A bit too boozy for me which distracts from what seems as a nice rich base.
