Mondo taproom. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is light and fairly minerally crisp. Thin dark malts, mild coffee. Touch of dark fruits before a crisp carbonation finish. A bit over carbonated for a stout but tasty enough.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours deep brown with a lasting, creamy beige head. Sturdy roasted malts in the nose, some burnt meat, coffee, cocoa, earth. Medium sweet flavor with sweet coffee character, mellow roast, sugary chocolate, light earthy bitterness, some berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, with toasty and bready malts, more sugary coffee, mild cocoa. Pretty tasty stuff, if somewhat simplistic.

Keg at Mondos Tap, Saturday 13th February 2016 Dark brown edging towards black in colour with a light beige head. It’s a bit cold but some coffee comes through on the nose and in the mouth. Fine if none to remarkable coffee stout, a bit more body and oomph called for here me reckons. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Keg at the brewery. It pours jet black with a small light tan head. The nose is rich, roasted malt, Dunkin Donuts coffee character, bitter - sweet character and treacle. The taste is rich roast, creamy, coffee, bitter - sweet, vanilla, ash, peppery spice, earth, burnt treacle and chewy malt and a touch of alcohol with a smooth, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Rather nice.

Keg at the brewery. Mostly clear reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a small light cream coloured pour. Aroma is rustic nutty grains, charred wood, vanilla. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty mellow roast, honey, light ashy roast. Palate is semi sweet, moderate airy carbonation, decent. Lingering g praline and light ash.
