Bottle. An unclear, golden-orange beer, some floaties too, topped by a dense, creamy beige head. The aroma has some sickening notes, with sweet maltyness and citrusy, orangey hops. The flavor has a nice bitterness, some alcohol hints, orange and pine cones. Rather sweet, full-bodied and warming. Lasting finish with bitterness and sweetness and some alcohol. Well, not my kind of DIPA. 140228

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. KEGS. Cask. Hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and slightly dry. Good fine carbonation. Light toffee in the malt base. Good hops - citrus, pine, grass, tropical fruit jam and mild hop spice. Nice balance of hop flavours and never too bitter. Finishes dry with a mild hop linger.

Bottle from Sourced Market; murky brown pour with massive frothy off white head, tangerine and spice aroma, taste had tangerine, pine some caramel sweetness, some pepper, ABV is very present.

Keg at BD Camden. It pours hazy amber with a bubbly beige head. The nose is each, orange, ripe mango, toffee and caramel. The taste is bitter-sweet, caramel, stewed orange, peach, booze, wood, resin, dirt and lingering bitterness. Pretty hot on the finish. Medium+ body, fine carbonation and chewy mouth-feel. A bit sweet, hot and chewy unfortunately... Not the best batch.

Bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras, mostly to annoy Ken. Hazy dark amber colour with lasting beige head. Sweet malt and big pine resin hop on the aroma. Some sweetness in the mouth. Some stingy hop. Quite well balanced. OK DIPA but didn’t blow me away as I was expecting. The bitterness grows and grows until it’s quite mouth puckering.

Keg at Brewdog Camden, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, tropical fruit, dry and quite bitter. This one didn’t really hit the mark, it was also served way too cold.

Draft at BrewDog Camden - London. Pours mostly clear gold with a light, foamy white head. Loads of ripe fruits in the nose, lots of orange, some berries. Medium to big sweet flavor with more ripe fruits, mango, orange, papaya, mild bread and alcohol, hints of piney bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming and lightly resinous to finish with further ripe tropical fruits, dry and somewhat grainy bread, bitter pine. Quite hefty. Not especially graceful or nuanced:
