A hazy golden ale with a thin white head. A pleasant cloves and bananas in aroma, with light vanilla notes. In mouth, a restrained spicy malt, with light herbal notes, good alcohol in final. Medium bodied. Middle of the road Saison.

Bottle. Smells sweet. Tastes sweet with a lemon tartness at the end. Hazy medium yellow body below a small, fizzy, white head that quickly departs. The aroma contains straw, melon, coriander and pineapple juice. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. The finish is tart. Medium body with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation. This beer lacks the depth and mustiness of the better saisons.

Being from Belgium, I could not help but try to recognize this typical yeast smell. It sure felt like a taste from home, a beer I had tried before. The smell reminded me of the Barbar beer brewed nearby my own town. Red Sky offers a little fizzy/creamy aftertaste that’s actually very nice on the palate. Honey and a sugary taste are present in this beer. Pours a golden colorwith a thick creamy head. It is a very god addition to the Heavy Seas treasure chest. I was very impressed by it.

12oz bottle thanks to Acknud. This one pours out a hazy gold topped with a white head. A very nice aroma of sweet spice. Tast of spice yeast and fruit. A pretty good brew

Bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a golden straw color with a medium head. Good lacing and retention. Big malt aroma with Belgian yeast, red apple and spice. Taste has very little sourness or bitterness, and is almost cloyingly sweet.

Bottle from acknud! Thanks! Nose of cloves, nutmeg, maybe a hint of corriander, some light yeastiness, and some banana esters; lightly hazy yellow with a medium pale yellow head; flavor has spiciness, bananas, light sweetness, and a tart hint!

Bottle, shared by papsoe. Orange-yellow pour, with a white head. There’s sediments in the bottle. Pale malt, citrus and a sweetish note in the aroma. The flavor is sour and sweet, quite malty, with some spice notes and hints of orange. Medium to thin body, and a fruity finish with a little acidic touch. Drinkable and refreshing, but the beer didn’t convince me it was worthy. (071006)

Pale, slightly cloudy orange..a little white foam and some nice bubbles....smells of yeast, citrus, and some spice...light with a nice bulk to the body...some spice and orange flavor...good, but wouldn’t want it all the time

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Slightly hazy golden with a white head leaving some lacework. Lightly tart, citrusy nose. Medium body with a subdued malt base and a distinct, citrusy tartness. Dry but not overly bitter finish. Classical American style Saison. 061007

Smells of vinegar and fruit, maybe strawberries. Gold color, no head, and many floating sediments. Tastes of sour grains, perhaps wheat, and cloves. Alcohol is concealed, but still noticeable. Grainy finish. Good beer.
