Cask gravity at GBBF 2013. It pours darkest brown (nr. black) with a small tan head. The nose is sweet, mellow, vanilla, coconut, sweet coffee, light toast and roast. The taste is fudge, sweet coffee, toffee, treacle, toast, roasted malt, vanilla and salted liquorice with a dry, warming finish. Fullish body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Smooth, oily and well-hidden alcohol. Decent.

Cask at GBBF ’13, 13/08/13. Pitch black with a thin tan head that clears to the edge. Nose is a big oaky bourbonic hit, light roast, sugars. Taste bourbon soaked oak is well evident, dark sugars, dark toffee, light chocolate. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the finale with a dry finish. An ok BA impy offering but lacks a little in balance, the bourbon is a little harsh and over intense over time.

Cask @ gbbf, medium sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma of roast, chili? Hints of bourbon. Dry taste, spicy, hot. Weird, it hits my stomach. Wrecks the palate, without giving that mouth coating velvety creaminess. Dont like it.
