3rd May 2019; hand-pulled half-pint at the 46th Telford Drinks Festival at The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Dark body, tanned topping. Nice, easy drinking Porter with plenty of flavours to find; coffee, chocolate and caramel being the main three for me.

Cask @ Salisbury's, London. Black with no head. Aroma of roasted malts and liquorice. Taste follows aroma plus a tiny note of cocoa. Not much in the way of hops. Low carbonation. Thin and watery. Still nice though.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 29 Oct 2016) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark bread, chocolate and roasted malt. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced porter. Nice one.

Cask at Willow Walk JDW. It pours near black with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, chocolate, dark fruits, roasted malt and malt loaf. The taste is bitter, earth roast, cocoa, coffee grounds, liquorice and some dark fruits (in particular plum) It finishes up plummy and roasty. Medium body and soft carbonation. decent enough porter.

Pours very dark, almost black, with a cream bubbly head. Lots of dark malts, chocolate hints, liquorice. More dark malts in the taste, dark fruit hints towards the finish, plum particularly.

Rich, creamy, a tad bitter. Love these English pump taps.
