Sour ale brewed using sour-kettle technique with lactobacillus. 100 kg of milled red currant and 100 kg of milled black currant were added on the secondary fermentation. Berries gave more acidity and awesome red to pink color.

Thank you for sharing BE & friends RB Crew! Sampled draft @ Borefts 2016. Day 2. Deep bright red. Nose is interesting jelly beans, faintly mineral. Taste is mellow bland sour, quite empty, metallic, fruit isn’t really there. Empty, metallic body. Not too crazy about this one. Empty, metallic.

van tap @Borefts 2016, rood/roze met witte kraag. aroma en smaken zijn zoet, enorm veel co2, fruitig, kers, redelijke bessen smaken, zwakke body, goede fruitzuurtjes, aardig.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2016, Day 2. Hazy dark pink to reddish color, small to average sized off-white head. Aroma of berries indeed. Taste slightly sourish, berries, even a sweetish hint. Quite pleasant.

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2016. Slightly hazy, pinkish red with a white head. Sweetish, fruity and a little sourish aroma of raspberries, strawberries and some cherries. Sourish-sweetish, quite fruity taste of raspberries, strawberries and cherries, followed by a medium long, slightly tart finish. Thin to medium body, very effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Nice!

Nice fizzy-creamy longlasting head, nice red-orangy color. Aroma is slightly dry and fresh grassy, leafs, weeds, hay, minerals, berry skin, dried grain, sour berries. Taste is slightly dry grassy, berry skin, minerals, grass, black currants, hay, fruit stones. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and dry mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough.
