Keg at the Cock Tavern - Hackney, London. Pours clear, golden-brown with a fine, tight cream cap. Sugary brown bready in the nose, a bit of Belgian yeast character, candi sugar. Medium to big sweet flavor, doughy bread, lightly toasted sugars, more yeast. Very sweet, some caramel. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with moderate alcohol wqrmth, lots of candied fruit, toffee, brown sugar, rich bread. Hefty stuff but gets the style pretty much right on.
