The blend of pale and dark crystal malts and caramalt give this copper/amber beer a gentle maltiness, whilst the English and German hop mix gives it a spicy hop character.

Cask @ Le Gothique Restaurant and Bar, [ Wandsworth Common Beer Festival 2013 ]. Royal Victoria Patriotic Building, John Archer Way, Wandsworth, Greater London, England SW18 3SX.Clear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, toasted, light hoppy, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malt sweet, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, fruity, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130330]

Cask pint at The Roebuck, Chiswick. ABV was 4.1%. Served a bit too warm. Copper to brown colour, low off-white head. Malty aroma, some toffee and fruit. Malty flavour, some fruit, dusty hops in the finish.

Cask @ Willow Walk, JDW, Victoria SW1. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with weak hoppy hints.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours. Lear good with a soft, fluffy white head. Dry, crispy straw in the bose, delicate pale malts. Light sweet flavor with nice, balanced bitterness if straw, crunchy leaves, light grass and citrus rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Balanced finish, light dy bread, hints of mango and citrus, hay. Nice one.

cask@George on the stand, London - Gold with a small white head. Light hoppy citrus and caramel malt grain character. Nothing amazing but pretty decent all the same.

Cask at the moon under water JDW. Hazy light orange thick persistent creamy head. Good lacking. Aroma is chalky Bready malt musty faint citrus. Palate is thin soft carbonation. Flavour is Bready caramel malt firm earthy bitterness finish. Decent.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis (JDW), Twickenham - 15/12/12. Clear golden with a thin white head that retains well. Excellent lacing follows. Nose is pale malts, a little citrus, touch of caramel, pinch of spice, light toffee apple. Taste comprises pale malts, grain, light hops, orchard fruits, a little orange and citrus. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry and bitter in the finish. Pretty average but easy drinking fayre.
