Bottle, 6.1%. 2014 version. Mild roasted aroma. Clear brown colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is vinous and slightly roasted. Berry-like fruitiness. Very thin mouthfeel and slightly watery.

Bottle, 6.1%, 2014 edition. Pours clear dark copper brown with airy but stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with notes of caramel and touches of spice. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with fruity and estery notes and bitter touches of hops. Bitter, roasty afteraste. Watery, whi is a pity, as it wouæd be a brilliant brew if the body was richer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Trolden Christmas Beer 2012 ].ABV: 5.9%. Clear medium brown colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, spicy, light roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, sweet sweet malt, candy, spicy, nutty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20131125]

Sample from 50 cl. 2012 bottle. Clear, amber golden with a thin, white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with caramel malts, fruits and toffee. Light liquorice. Taste is sweet. Medium body. Finishes bitter and fruity. Middle of the road.

2012 version : cloudy brown ,small white head. yeasty aroma, faint fruits. flavor is yeasty, spicy. 6,2,6,3,12 2011 version (tasted same time as 2012).: clear brown, smooth offwhite head. mild yeasty and spicy aroma. very mild. but well balanced. flavor is spicy, slightly rubbery, malty, yeast,y peppery spices, very faint burnt character.
