Half pint, cask by handpump at Cask Pub & Kitchen. Patch surface. Cloudy, apricot coloured body. Coffee and herbal hops on the nose. Flavour of cold coffee grounds added by grapefruits. Bitter ending of citrus peels. Unusual mix, in the right direction (London 12.08.2013).

12th August 2013CP&K. Cask. Fairly hazy amber beer, little white head. Palate is light and a little soft, semi dry. Thin malt, mildly sweet. Okay hops. Orange with a touch of grapefruit. Whisper of pine. Finishes dry and mildly bitter. Struggling to pick out any coffee here. Someone else bought one a bit later and it was the same except perhaps a touch of coffee oj the nose.

Cask @ cask pub and kitchen, small sample. Hazy yellow color, short head. Again the grassy hop, but now with an earthy coffee aroma extra. More like coffee filter to be honest instead of fresh coffee. Bitterness mellows, so flavor has improved, while aroma didnt.

Cask at CP&K. It pours hazy golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is juicy orange, tangerine, mango, earthy, light spice and hay. The taste is juicy orange, tangerine, light toasty/roasty notes and earth, with a dry, earthy finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Not a massive amount of coffee, which is a good thing. Interesting stuff.

Cask at CPK - London. Pours cloudy gold with a fine, creamy white head. Nose has some pithy citrus up front and filter coffee in the background. Light sweet flavor, some more pithy citrus, a bit of dirty coffee, mild white bread. Light in body with fine carbonation. Light coffee and subtle roast to finish, a bit of semi-ripe citrus. Pretty nice coffee nuance.
