Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines...a long while ago. I inadvertently aged this one. I think it’s two to three years of age. It pours clear, dark brown with a frothy, light khaki head. The nose has lots of ashy roast, tobacco, burnt leaves, faint cocoa. Light sweet flavour with prominent ashy roast, some dry earth, torched tobacco leaves, bitter cocoa, leather. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and bitter on the finish, with more steady and sturdy ash, hard bitter cocoa, old espresso. Pretty OK overall, in that hard-edged ashy kind of way.

Cask@Beer Rebellion (Gipsy Hill), London (04/06/2015) - dark brown verging black pour with beige head. Medium roasted malty and hoppy aroma and taste, some caramel and chocolate notes to this as well. Nice.

From London Beer Market and drunk at home. black beer lasting tan head. Quite a coffeeish stout. In fact very coffeeish. It’s quite tasty, could do with being a touch fuller in the mouth maybe. Some dryness on the finish. It’s fine. Coffee is ok.

Cask gravity dispense at Beer Rebellion. It pours darkest brown with a small bubbly beige head. The nose is roasty, coffee, brown bread, liquorice, permanent marker pen and rubber. The taste is mellow roasted malt, earth, coffee, mild acidity, ash and decent bitterness with a lingering dry, roasted finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Would be nicer with better condition, but still alright.
