Draught, sample glass at London Craft Beer Festival. Golden body, slightly cloudy. Faint white head, spotty lacing. Lemony hops on the nose. Fresh flavour profile of pineapple and lemon, half-dry. Smooth citrus bitter ending. Refreshing, strong session qualities (London 16.08.2013).

Cask at the Cock, 16/08/13. Hazy orange amber with a thin white head. Nose is orange, bitter citrus fruit, hops, toasted malts, juicy tropicals, light smoke. Taste comprises dank hops, light pine, orange pith, lemon rind, touch of grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with a good dose of hop bitterness. Decent low ABV cask APA - packs a lot of flavour.

Bottle at The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Thatโs a good pale ale. Lovely tangerine full in mouth. Lovely pale ale. Bit harsh. But good.

33cl Bottle, thanks Harmen! Hazy pale golden colour, white head. Aroma is something different, odd but nice combination of tropical fruits, citrus, grass, grapes, fruity acidity. Flavour is light-sweet, light pale malts, tropical fruits, light fruity tart/acidity, citrus, light pine, dry bitter finish. Light-bodied. Nice, different.

Keg at the Cock Tavern. Cloudy gold beer, little white head. Palate is smooth and soft and a little dry. A sweetish beer! Sweet floral and pine hops with light orange and orange pith. Something else fruity here that I am struggling to pin down. Possibly grape. Finishes dry with medium bitter linger. Good stuff. Packed full of flavour in a low abv beer!

Bottle at home in London. Pours mostly clear gold with a small, frothy white cap. The aroma has what Iโve come to think of as pretty typical for Howling Hops: plenty of rugged pine, some earth, sturdy grapefruit - itโs nice. Light sweet flavor with some dried pine needles, definitely some dry and gritty yeast, lightly toasted malts, grapefruit rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly dry on the finish with hefty dose of pithy citrus, some further mouth-drying yeast, pine needles, light sweetness. For a low ABV beer itโs pretty nice and packs a decent amount of character.
