Deep amber colour, fairly clean, with caramel-golden highlights. The frothy beige head has average retention and some traces of foamy lacing. Caramel malt base with some nice spices, hints of dark fruits and booze. The mouthfeel is wet with some light dryness to come, but pretty thin all-around. The taste shows again some decent spiciness over the caramel and fruity malts. An easy-going, thinner, slightly warming Scotch ale with some good spices that blend the malts.

Aromas of candied fruit and light caramel. Aromas very difficult to perceive. The foam is very thick and quite creamy, persistent on a brown liquid with coppery reflections and quite clear. The taste of fruity esters dominate the caramel with notes of candied fruit. The hops are floral and earthy and have a slight bitterness in the finish. Caramel is very little present in this very fruity Scotch Ale. Not very impressed. A:5.59 A:4.717 T:7.016 B:3.067 O:10.286 T:30.676

This ale poured a deep amber colour with a creamy, tan head. Nice lacing. Scents include caramel, cream and biscuit. First swig was nice and full bodied. Flavours of malty caramel, nuts and light hops. Finish is caramel and malt with a light hop bitterness that lingers.
