Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from the brewery. Pours unclear orange-gold with a fluffy, white head. Really clean, with light piney bitterness, background dry pale malts, some citrus rind, nips of grass. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Clean finish, with biscuity accents, more subtle pine character, orange rind, subtle minerality. Super drinkable. Great beer.

15th April 2020 Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent trailing fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a light creamy sweetness. Hops are mildly spicy. Mild floral Motueka, doesn't have that big fluffy floral richness of when the hop first hit the scene. Light Wai-Iti pithy citrus. Mild lime and tangerine, very mild. A light but bitterish finish. Solid but not that exciting by normal Kernel standards. 3.6

The pith has settled out of this one, allowing the floral lime of the Wai-Iti to shine through. Trace of tangerine. Much more drinkable now.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Soft haze on a bright yellow gold. Pretty stunning Kernel swede. Nose has super fresh grain. Nectarine. Unripe citrus fruit. Hint of sap. Taste is pretty bitter and citrusy, with just a flicker of bready sweetness. Medium body. Quite oily. Fine carbonation. Lingering citrus bitterness to finish. Subtle maybe, but it’s I’d happily drink multiples of. Looks fantastic too.
