(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Can. A- Malt, toffee. A- Mahogany color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Bready, malt, hint of toffee. P- Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Not sure why it says out of production. A very tasty bock. A creamy mouthfeel, almost nitro like. Well balanced and super easy to drink. I could drink a lot of this in the fall. Love New Glarus.

Hopefully is just out of production due to season? Anyway drinking it now. Dark brown with quick lived beige-white foam. It's effervescent with some dark roots. Sometimes the beer doesn't directly give you flavors...more of an essence.
This sits well with me and should come on out of retirement or wherever it's hiding 🍻

Deep, perfectly dark brown coloured body with a three to four centimetre tall just off-white head that fades relatively quickly and leaves a slightly ugly lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of caramelised sugar, toffee, earth, light nuts, a dash of fruits, spiced pears and a touch of pure yeast - very nice throughout and no real biscuity or lager notes - this is very pungent in a good way with a ton of sugars. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive notes of caramel, coffee, treacle, raisins, golden sugar, pitted fruits and a touch of dry earthiness is noticeable with a good deal of nuts and bread towards the finish, but the sweetness and lightly spiced component rounds things out and makes this very nice and robust. Aftertaste shows the earthy and caramel components with a little bit of fruits around the edge, all ending with a pleasant sweetness and well-rounded malt characteristic that shows some dry, grainy flavours. Overall, a very nice, incredibly balanced and easy-drinking bock, with a lot of flavours, a nice complexity and an almost ale-like quality, which is a complement. One of the better/best bocks I've had in a long while, if not, ever! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased on 24-September-2014 (yes, 5,5 years ago),from the Edelweiss Shop in Verona, Wisconsin [of course] for US$3,00 by my Mom, sampled at home here in Washington on perhaps the last slightly chilly day of the season on 31-March-2020, and the five and a half year wait (when I only had one kid) was worth it.

Pours a lightly hazy ruby - nose of esters (baked banana), dark breads, roasted nuts - creamy texture, medium body, soft carbonation - rich toasty maltiness - somewhat dry and toasty, but with some toffee sweetness to it - light bitterness, hazelnut - mild over ripe banana - light spiciness - a touch of huskiness, but it’s very mild - fairly enjoyable bock - nice malt richness to it.
