12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a mostly clear dark amber with minimal head. Aroma of caramel and toffee with a hint of dark fruit. Taste is light sweet. Toffee with a bit of dark fruit. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively mouth-filling carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Not my favorite from NG but enjoyable.

Bottle. Brown color of course. As soon as I start pouring I pick up the sweet aroma of a bock beer. Flavor is sweet as well, with some caramel and malt. Palate is a little thin; this does not stand up to the besr German examples. But still a solid beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with a very light haze and an off-white head. Toffee, red apple, caramel aromas. Flavor is very gently roasted, very light coffee, light apple, a bit of toffee. Like many of these I’m trying from New Glarus, the flavors are good, but very light.

Acquired by a trader in Wisconsin. Poured into a duvel tulip. A - Poured a 5 finger head. Very tiny bubbles and the color was that of leather. The beer itself, very dark brown with some amber hues around the edges of the glass. S - Bread, hops and some chocolatey malt in there. It’s a pretty weak smell and really is reminiscent of a standard bock with nothing special. T - yeah, not a lot going on. I’m getting mint leaves, cigar smoke, some wood aspects. Mild hops and a bit of that maltiness. M - Not much carbonation on the mouthfeel. Light bodied. O - Meh. I wouldn’t buy it. It’s alright but not a very impressive beer.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed on a slightly boring Friday night hanging out at my apt. Appearance is a dark brown with a rich off-white head that rims around the glass. Aroma mostly of malt, maybe a bit of toffee, kind of light. Taste is smooth, a bit more roasted in the malt comes out in the flavor, a bit soft, light/medium body & carbonation. Not a style I’d typically enjoy, it’s not bad.

Bottle thanks to Tripplebrew, thanks! Used a mug. Hazy amber, with thin white head. Light lace. Light aroma of malt and light resin. The flavor is rather roasty with a metallic taste coming through quite strongly. A touch of chocolate and it tastes like a wheat backbone, pretty good flavor. Light body and a thin texture with a fairly high carbonation. Finish is clean. Overall, if I had regular access to this brew, I could drink it anytime.
