Tap@Pelt Trader, Cannon Street, London - Fuzzy gold pour with medium white head. Juicy tangarine, lemon citrus, pine, grass, some nice floral tones in as well. How I have missed The Kernel. On tap at the Pelt Trader, Cannon St. Hazy amber pour with a white head. Floral aroma with a little orange zest. Quite an earthy flavour. Chocolate orange taste in there. Hoppy finish. Good stuff.

Bottle from either City Beverage or Sourced Market, St Pancras. Hazy gold orange with lasting beige thin head. Lovely Chinook grapefruit aroma. Good in mouth lovely mouthfeel. Now that is a very good APA. Not overly bitter on finish. Quite lovely.

Bottle from Trafalgar Wines, Brighton. It pours hazy orange with a medium white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, mango, earth, sherbet and resin. The taste is crisp, orange, tangerine, mango, earth, pine, grassy bitterness and resin with a lingering dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bold and flavoursome APA. Really rather delicious. Good work Kernel.

Aroma: Fresh green hops - bitter and vinous. Pine nuts, unripe gala melon, furniture polish and coriander.
Appearance: Hazy golden body with a thin chalk-white head. Very light carbonation. Excellent lacing.
Taste: Bitter herbs, vine tomatoes, grapefruit and pine. Not as juicy as other Kernel Pale Ales, but the flavours are still powerful.
Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Very soft carbonation.
Overall: I prefer the big juicy hops like Galaxy, Citra, Simcoe and Cascade but this is a little different and still very nice. Perhaps more savoury than fruity/sweet.

Cock Tavern. Keg. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and softish. Semi dry with fine minerally carbonation. Thin creamy malt. Light hops - orange with a trade of grapefruit. Little floral note and a touch of hops spice. Finishes semi dry. Sounds fairly standard but it has that Kernel fairy dust and is very quaffable.
